Can you pass this along to him please - Toni
I also sang with Don Grusin (Dave's brother) in Boulder in the early sixties. Hard Work appreciated from a Williams fan. Another Soundwings album worth noting,is Bill Watrous' Reflections, which revisits Pat's Shades from his first Verve album,as well as new clothes for Li'l Darlin and that Brazilian feel on Cinnamon and Clove.
Also, the 1982 PCM version of Dreams and Themes had a Williams original,Dreams, that would be substituted for the Devlin Connection when Alliance reissued the album in 1983. The Alliance version was made on CD. And in recent times,Pat did that Concord Mancini tribute that came out when the US Postal Stamp of Mancini was released(there are at least two different versions around)and Elevation, a benefit album for the now defunct Mancini Institute, with Tom Scott & Eddie Daniels. And finally a marvelous soundtrack to The Grass Harp,a film directed by Charles Matthau and featuring his dad,Walter, and Walter's good friend,Jack Lemmon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20115328.post-22661505574056197422010-10-26T12:06:57.755-04:002010-10-26T12:06:57.755-04:00Thank you Anonymous (1) for the reminder about Woo...Thank you Anonymous (1) for the reminder about Woody Herman/Richard Evans' terrific take of "Pontieo."
